I hope everyone is doing well. Already mid-April and time to go over whats going on with our Flight in the Cockpit series. From now on I will address the different sections of the series so you can have a better idea of whats out and whats in the works. In the meantime I invite you to Like our Facebook page where you will find out every day whats new and a lot more...
New Hi-Def Programs
A familiar face will soon be back in the series! in the meantime our 2nd Hi Def DVD featuring Aegean Airlines of Greece has been very well received, specally the A321 flight from Athens to London Heathrow!
Looking forward, HD#3 is just a few days away. I hope you're participating in the Guess the next DVD contest and test your aviation/airline/airport skills. HD#4 has completed production and should be out in May. In the meantime our crews have been super busy filming new programs on 4 continents. No doubt you will be very pleased with what they have been recording for you.
As we continue to invest for the future we have now added no less than 10 HD cameras to our equipment amongst many other things. HD#3 & HD#4 were already filmed using multi-cameras but we're continuing to increase that number whenever possible using anywhere from 2 to 5 cameras per flight!
VHS to DVD Programs
After Crossair and the Challenge 757 our 3rd VHS released on DVD for 2011 is the 1996 filmed program featuring Turkish Airlines and its Airbus A340 on the Istanbul to New York JFK route. As a result we now have 19 of 21 programs featuring Star Alliance airlines available in the series and 10 of 12 Airbus A340 programs available. We're working on several more VHS titles and should have the next one out within the next few weeks.
Sold Out Programs
One of the most request sold out titles was the Air Seychelles. This great program sold out more than 5 years ago so this was a good time to bring it back... but we did more than just bring it back, the program was digitally re-mastered and re-authored so you can enjoy an improved picture quality on this Indian Ocean DVD! We've also brought back the Air DO program and thanks to your support were able to donate $300 to the Red Cross for Japan the week this DVD was re-released. For our many fans in the Netherlands we brought back the Transavia program for the 3rd time and more sold out progrms are due for release in the next few months. On the other hand there are some DVDs running low on quantity and a new run isn't planned, you should tune in to our website and our facebook page for the latest news so you don't miss a title. The first such DVD looks to be the Helios Airways Boeing 737-800!
I would like to thank you for another great month and specially the many kind emails, letters and posts on our facebook page with your stories on how you've appreciated our programs for the past 20 years. I will be back with more next month. Thank you! |
