This dvd is one of the best of all. VARIG is the oldest Brazilian airline operating. I'm a Brazilian plastic model maker (1/144 & 1/200 scales), and I made a Varig model, this dvd helped me build a better model! The flights into Santos Dumont Airport are great!

The VARIG DVD is a job well done. I had parts of the MD-11 footage on VHS so it was nice to get it on DVD now for the quality is so superior. The program had an excellent variety of destinations and aircraft as well as a great variety of airports showing us the challenges that face pilots depending on what equipment they fly. Brazil is an absolutely gorgeous country and one I would love to visit. The approaches into Rio were breathtaking. I also was very amazed by the approach and landing into the Rio Santos Dumon airport for it looked like that 737 was tryng to land on an aircraft carrier deck with no margin for error. I am sure those autobrakes get used well there and the takeoff was very exciting as well. A very fascinating airport and a true challenge to those professionals who fly in and out of there. The scenery of the Andes enroute to Chile in our 767 was also breathtaking. Great show and a great way to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of South American's largest airline.

The final approach to runway 20L at Santos Dumont International Airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is awesome. Very well done. The scenery is just awesome. Varig flies to some of the most beautfull cities in Brazil. The diversity of aircraft featured in this DVD makes it for 180 minutes of pure fun.

It's a wonderful DVD. Here you can find a lot of planes and destinations. The final approach at Santos Dumont is fantastic!!!Now I know how difficult is the landing there, can you imagine an airport surrounded by water? The flight over the shore at 1500 ft is unique!!!! This DVD gives an EXCELLENT view of many different Varig aircraft ranging from 737-300 & 700's on short domestic routes, B767's and MD-11 for long international routes. There are some very challenging VFR landings that some of the pilots perform on some of the short Brazilian domestic routes that will almost make you hold your breath. Once again, World Air Routes has provided some excellent scenery footage and lots and lots of those great engine, reverse thrust and background sounds. GREAT JOB!!!! Keep those wonderful DVD's coming because I intend to buy every single one of them (I have 9 already).

I received my 4th DVD, the Varig Fleet and I'm very happy with the quality and production of all DVDs that I have. Simply, all are fantastic. This one contains a lot of flights in a variety of airplanes doing flights around many cities in Brazil and other countries. The visual final approach to runway 20L at Santos Dumont - Rio de Janeiro - is amazing. It seems that airplane won't get to land on a small runway !!! Also the approach procedure to Arturo M. Benitez - Santiago - Chile is fantastic with a lot of views from Andes peaks covered with snow. And what to say about the last flight between Maceio and Aracaju, where the Boeing flies leveled at 1500 ft following the Brazilian coastline ?? Fantastic !!! Keep up this excellent job !!
