Oman Air operated its first flight to Salalah in March 1993 and since then has continually grown and expanded to many destinations. Recently the airline revamped its fleet with Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft.

This program takes you to some very interesting destination that are part of the Oman Air network. In the cockpit of the 737-700 we fly to Bombay then later to Dubai and Beirut. One of the sectors from Beirut to Dubai is filmed in the cabin.

The 737-800 takes us to Dar Es Salaam and Zanzinbar and on a domestic route to Salalah. Last, but not least, we fly the ATR to Khasab where you will enjoy a very spectacular approach. A few words from the CEO, views of the airport and a visit of the city of Muscat make this a very exciting program.

I absolutely love this dvd and consider it one of the best in my collection. The camera work was excellent and Tommy Mogren is to be commended. What I loved the most was the in cabin shots and the flight in the cabin portion from BEY-DXB. The crews were great and their service was wonderful. Last but not least the pilots are to be thanked for their participation in this great DVD.  George Alves, USA

It's awesome! The scenery on all flights is just beautiful! The Middle East scenery is also some of the best of it and the African scenery + the beautiful approach to KHS and the visit of Muscat is nice too!  Spencer Mitchell, USA

This is my first purchase from JustPlanes and I waited long enough to think about what I wanted to be featured and when the DVD came out, I grabbed it. Its a beautiful movie, owing to the fact that I have stayed in MCT for over 10 years and I have had a strong affiliation towards the place and ofcourse the flag carrier Oman Air. I have always been a big fan of the airline and its fleet of the B737NGs and the little ATRs that they operate. They have a very good route network and JustPlanes has very well covered the interesting domestic routes to Salalah and the Khasab. Not to mention the feature to and out of BOM (since thats my hometown). Loved the flight into Dubai, Beirut and Zanzibar. Some really nice locales. But the best feature would be night landing into MCT and also the takeoff from Salalah demonstrating procedure for pilot incapacitation. Truely a wonderful experince. The tour of the city and the overall movie feature touched my heart! Thanks to everyone at JustPlanes and Oman Air for bringing in this one.   Virrindra V Argekar, INDIA

Just planes  are producing good quality DVDs on Middle Eastern Airliners. Kuwait Airways(highly recommended), Qatar Airways and of course Oman Air are all very good DVDs. Oman air is  recommended to any one who is interested in the B737. I believe most of the pilots were Omani Nationals and their voices were very clear. This is an important factor when viewing a documentary movie of this nature.  A big thank you to Omani Air, if not for their support this DVD will not be possible. Film shots of  the pilot doing reverse trust upon landing,  female flight attendants  and the  food served on board ,were some of my favorite parts.   Deepal Perera, SRI LANKA

Great job on Oman Air DVD. Nice new destinations, very good crew presentation and spectacular scenery. Landing in Dubai, over one of the most expensive hotels in the world, as well as rotation in and out of Beirut was great. ATR landing in Khasab through rocky canyon is awesome. Tour of Muscat was terrific. City was surprisingly beautiful and in a great location on a rocky coast. Thanks WAR for another enjoyable DVD.  Nick Bancic, USA

I love it! Great routes, friendly crews and a very nice tour of the beautiful city of Muscat. Thanks again and looking forward to your future releases, especially the middle eastern ones!   Dan Antos, CANADA

When I first heard of Just planes through a friend back in 2007, I went through their website and decided to start collecting. However I didn't start until 2011. Given a choice of over 200 DVD's, I didn't know which one to start with. I chose Oman Air, because (quite simply) I have been to 4 of the 8 destinations. I don't regret buying it at all. For starters, I enjoyed revisiting the place I was born (Mumbai), the place I was brought up (Dubai) and places I have been to on vacation (Muscat and Khasab). Note I went to Khasab by road, and my hotel was right next to the airport. I remember telling my parents back then that I wanted to fly home or at least visit the airport, neither of which happened, so this DVD gave me a chance to see the airport at Khasab. The camera work was fantastic, and it had a good balance of cockpit, cabin, wing views and views at the airport. I particularly enjoyed the landing at Mumbai, the ATC chatter was interesting. The views into Dubai, Beirut and Khasab were also very scenic. I found the Check flight of Cpt. Ranganathen by Cpt. Dhillon very interesting and I learned a lot from it. Once again I'm glad I chose Oman Air as my first DVD. My collection has steadily grown now, I have around 10 DVDs and it will NOT stop growing. If you are contemplating buying this DVD, I say "Go ahead", and if you are new to JP and don't know where to start, I will say "start here", as you will get a good taste of what JP has in store for you in their DVD's. Thank you JP for producing this DVD and I'm looking forward to more.

This DVD shows nice flights around the Middle East and a portion of Africa as well. On the MCT-BOM-MCT leg, I observed an unusual seating arrangement between the captain and F/O as they exchanged seats. Clear ATC communication was recorded, noting the busy traffic sector around Mumbai. Good aircraft walkaround at Salalah by Capt. Ranganathan. An interesting highlight was when the ATR crew requested an early descent to Khasab to show the viewers the scenery, then followed by a challenging visual approach to runway 01. What I love most is the approach to runway 12L in Dubai, as this is my second home. The wonderful scenery of Dubai viewed from the air makes this program a keeper. Another interesting feature was a tour of Muscat. Some clips of the cabin meal service was a nice bonus. The flight crews are very professional have a good command in English (considering that it is not their mother tongue). Thank you Just Planes for another informative & entertaining DVD!   Roy Joven Benzonan, UAE
