First of all I'd like to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year!  Hope everyone had a safe holiday!

2012

This past year was our best year ever and the team and myself would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their support and help in making 2012 such as wonderful year.  On the new release front we came out with a dozen new programs. We increased the number of airlines in the series to 237 with the addition of Arik Air, Ethiopian and Jazz.

The big success of 2012 was the further expansion of the Blu-ray in our series. The % of Blu-ray buyers is increaing every month!

The even bigger success was no doubt our presence on You Tube! Ending 2012 with 500 videos, a 400% increase of our subscribers from 15,000 to 60,000 as well as a 400% increase in the number of views from 2.5 million in 2011 to 10 million in 2012. We made a little 3 minute video to thank you for this and hope you've had a chance to preview it, if not click on the picture and take a look, they're clips from our latest productions on a nice music track. In 2013 we plan to continue adding videos, hopefully nearly every day as we did last year and hope you continue to enjoy our channel!

Newest Releases

Our last 3 release are not only fantastic programs, they happen to be 3 of the most popular airlines in our series!  Iberia and Swiss now each have 4 programs completed, Air Canada has 10!

In each of the cases I carefully picked the routes to bring you the best possible production.

For Iberia I really wanted to produce a new program directly on Blu-ray since the A340-300 and A340-600 each already had an earlier DVD release. I've also gotten dozens and dozens of request to return to Mexico City, so that was an easy choice. We also managed to get the 300 and 600 versions on the same program for you and the 600 on the dayflight to Mexico allowing us to film the nose and tail cameras on takeoff and landing! A really nice addition to the program. As with all previous Iberia programs, the pilot was specially selected for our program and I'm certain you will enjoy his skills and presentations a lot, he is a training pilot for Iberia.

As far as Air Canada, we've gotten a ton of requests for London Heathrow and I thought, what better way to get this route than with an A319. No other airline operates a small plane like that over the Atlantic into Heathrow!  And once again the right pilots were selected for the job and you get 2 Captain, one is doing his ETOPS qualification, the other one is a Check Pilot and both will go through all the workings of ETOPS in amazing details and you will get the usual multi camera takeoffs and landings including cabin views for the arrival and departure in London.

At Swiss I wanted to do their A330 and the choice of Captain was really a no-brainer... Captain Covolan was such a fantastic host on the A340 to San Francisco!  And again he and his copilot really did an amazing job presenting their aircraft, the flight, the route, ETOPS, the cross flying between the A330 and A340 and so much more including another bike tour!
On our Air Canada B777 Polar Ops we featured a dispatcher who presented that side of the globe and how the flying happens there from creating the route, flight plan, fuel, diversion etc... I thought it would be interesting to bring you the same for the Atlantic and Swiss was off course happy to assist so you have a really nice presentation before we start our flight....

Oh and last but not least, choosing the route...  First I considered Africa because we already did North America, South America and Asia with Swiss...  but quickly I decided that JFK really needed to be done in HD and glad I went that direction.

Not sure if you've had a chance to check our 2012 Top20 but even though these 3 titles have only been on sale for a matter of weeks in 2012 against others that have been selling all year, the 3 ended up in 7th, 8th and 16th position, which says a lot!

$15 DVDs

The introduction of $15 Cockpit DVDs has been doing well since it started. In2012 we bumped the number of titles at that price to 50 and results have been great so today we are further expanding that to 75 titles!  The $20 price level has also been discontinued in order to make things easier...
You will find some fantastic titles now available at a fantastic price! Some of these programs are 3 hours and longer and take you to some very exotic destinations. Even if the type of aircraft might not be your personal favorite, being able to visit some rare destinations around the globe makes these programs very worthwhile! Enjoy them and keep in mind that many of these will be discontinued as they sell out!

I would like to conclude by saying that I'll try to bring some more frequent news here.. perhaps shorter but just more often...  We have a blockbuster 2013 planned with new airlines, new aircraft types, places we've never been to... so tune in on our website, our email-newsletter, facebook, you tube etc... and stay informed as to whats going on with our series...  You can expect the next program to be released in about a week.

All the best and talk soon!
