Helios Airways is the first independent airline in Cyprus having commenced charter operations in May 2000 and scheduled operations in April 2001. It is the first airline in Cyprus to introduce new Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft and concentrates its efforts on safety, punctuality, reliability and excellent service.


This program includes scheduled flights to London's Luton Airport as well as to Sofia and charter flights from Larnaca and Paphos to Bournemouth and Cairo. Pilots will give you detailed descriptions of the flights and a complete presentation of the 737-800 cockpit. In addition you will discover the great service given by the flight attendants in the cabin not to mention the usual load of nice scenery including a great overflight of London and a pass close to the pyramids while approaching Cairo.

Excellent production. ATC communications very clear. Instrument panel lighting very good. Able to read instrument  indications without any difficulty. Good visibility on these flights resulting in spectacular takes of scenery. Recommend this Helios Airways DVD. Viewers will not be disappointed.

I was very pleased with the scenery especially the view of London on HCY558 (LCA-BOH) and the pyramids at Giza on HCY750 (PFO-CAI). I also enjoyed Helios 737 air to air on ZU412 (LCA-SOF). Jan Mogren has done it again. The filming on the Helios 737-800 video is excellent with great clarity and crystal-clear ATC communications. The flight into Bournemouth from Larnaca was great on a clear, sunny day with a fantastic overflight "tour" of the London and Southern England airports. The flight into Cairo was also interesting with a great view of the pyramids. Cyprus looks like a vacation paradise - I look forward to visiting in the future. Thanks for another great dvd!
