Founded in 1996, Citybird of Belgium operated scheduled and charter passenger and cargo services around the world using a fleet of A300, B737, B767 and MD11s. The airline only existed for 5 years. We were lucky enough to catch its long haul fleet during that time.
Produced in 1999 as 2 programs, each selling for $25, you can now get both programs on 1 DVD for only $20!!
On the Boeing 767-300 we follow a roundtrip flight from Brussels to the US with landings at Los Angeles and at the San Francisco area airport of Oakland. On the Douglas MD11 we follow a roundtrip flight from Brussels to the Caribbean with landings at Varadero in Cuba and Cancun in Mexico.

This film when it was first released was in a series called Flight in the Cockpit and in that series that is what you got views from the cockpit and and in these cases very little else. Yes you can here the ATC but there is no pilot/camera interchange that you know get;but what you do get are some great views. This film was produced well over 10 years ago. Citybird unfortunately crashed off the end of the runway in October 2001 just 2 years after this film was made. Citybird has gone but and I mean a big but JPV has carried on and improved not only its relationship with the airlines but also improved with the actual productions. Keep on flying JPV
