This fantastic DVD starts off with a company presentation from the CEO. Mr. Neeleman talks briefly to the viewers about the history of the airline, while thereafter the Marketing Director who has been a fan of Just Planes products talks about the operations of Azul.
Our first flight takes us on a roundtrip from Azul’s main hub of Campinas to Rio. Features of this flight include departure and approach briefings, amazing views of the city of Rio, Sugarloaf cable cars and a stunning turn to final approach over the Rio-Niteroi bridge. On our return leg, some of the highlights were once again the amazing views of the city of Rio, Sugarloaf and many great views from the cockpit while flying through the cloudy skies of Brazil.
During our second leg from Campinas to Porto Alegre, we receive one of many presentations from the flight crew on the aircraft systems. On the return flight, there is a continued cockpit presentation which covers features such as the overhead panel, Ram Air Turbine (RAT), EICAS, NFD and the touch pad which controls them both.
One of the more informative aspects of this DVD comes with the second company presentation by the Marketing Director. In this segment he discusses the history of how the airline started from the idea, the planning and the first flight. Plus background on Brazil itself and the need for an airline such as Azul. To anyone who does not know much about this airline and its concept, this segment will be most interesting.
Our final three round trip destinations include Salvador, Curitiba and Vitoria. Features of these flights include more cockpit presentations covering the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), camera views from the Heads-up Display while on approach and landing, flight view from the cabin and a very detailed walk around of the EMB190.
This DVD is a definite must have and it is one of the most visually appealing DVDs available from JustPlanes. The cloudy skies and densely populated coastal cities of Brazil surely add to the beauty of flying within this region of the world. Recommended!
