Air
Austral specializes in service in the Indian Ocean
area. The airline operates a fleet of Boeing 777s
on its Paris to St Denis route. From St Denis a
fleet of Boeing 737s connects to destinations in
the Comores, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, the
Seychelles and South Africa.
This program features the Boeing 777 on a roundtrip
flight from Reunion Island to Paris CDG. Starting
with a cockpit presentation and a walkaround, you
then sit in the cockpit for the roundtrip, also
looking at the great service provided by the
airline.
We also fly the Boeing 737 to 2 destinations in
Madagascar and to Mayotte with some amazing island
scenery.

bought this DVD because I love the 777. Those segments
were excellent with the presentation of the 777 cockpit as
well as the inflight sequences. I loved watching the
sunrise over Africa. However your segments on the 777 were
also very well done especially with the scenery, around St
Denis, Nossi Be and Dzaoudzi. I've never been to
Reunion Island and this DVD made me want to go.

Amazing
DVD, Nosy-Be(FMNN/NOS) rwy23 approach shows a beautiful
scenery.I travelled there first in 1988, runway 05 very
dangerous approach and landing, and in 1997, runway 23
visual left hand pattern both with MD 737-200 aircraft.
Uncommon NDB and visual approach is very exciting unlike the
usual ILS one. As far as I know, there is no ILS both at
Nosy-Be and Dzaoudzi and the Air Austral DVD shows how the
pilots fly in such regions. No radar vectoring and
surveillance. Fortunately, Tanà FIR (FMMM) where the
737 flew is ADS and CPDLC approoved according to the current
FANS(CNS-ATM) managed by ASECNA. I lived in Madagascar till
1994 and I thank everybody involved in this Air Austral DVD.

I
loved the flight around Reunion in the cessna, and the
beautiful scenery that can be seen. The 737-500 flight into
Antananarivo, Madagascar looked very challenging, as
the drenching rain made it almost impossible to see the
runway. The views in the cabin on the 737 and 777 were
also great. I love these DVD's! My collection of these
movies is growing tremendously!
